Do It Yourself Tuesday - Mesh Ribbon Wreath

I've had my eye on these mesh ribbon wreaths for several years, and I was finally able to pick up some mesh ribbon at Hobby Lobby last summer so I could make one for Christmas. It was so much easier then I thought it would be. I followed the instructions from http://www.chicaandjo.com/ and slightly adapted it to supplies I had around the house. I had different sizes, but the 10 yards by 21 inches worked the best for the wreath.

Other supplies: wire ties and a wire hanger....that's it!

Bend the wire hanger into a circle. Take the end of the mesh ribbon and gather it together and twist onto the hanger.

Bunch the ribbon up again, about 8 inches from the first place and secure it to the hanger with another twist tie. Push it up against the previous tie on the hanger.

Work your way all the way around the hanger. Then you have a really full wreath. Tie a ribbon to the top so you can hang it on your door, or anywhere you wish. You can attach anything you want to the wreath. I ended up attaching a little Santa metal sign and a few ornaments. Since it was red I removed the Christmas decor and added some valentine ribbon and a glitter "love" sign and now it's a valentine wreath. This makes me want to make a quick trip to Columbia so I can pick up all kinds of colors of this stuff from Hobby Lobby. I've seen people use these for birthday's bringing home baby from the hospital, baby showers and holidays.
