Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve we celebrate at Clay's Mom's house as we exchange gifts, enjoy a meal, and do our Chinese auction. It was a great day watching the kids open their gifts and hanging out with the family.

That evening we went to church, and it was a fantastic service...probably the best one I can remember. Part of the service was the children's pageant and they did so good. Lillian did end up being a sheep, and you would never have known she was so timid during all of the rehearsals. She was definitely the wondering sheep (I was so embarrassed, but it was really cute and funny).

After church our parents and my Papa came over for a casual dinner. We served a stew that had been in the crock pot all day, and we whipped up a few more things when we got home. It was a nice a relaxing time watching Lillian run around and making us laugh.

Lillian insisted on leaving the reindeer acorns instead of carrots. She took this job pretty seriously.

Next up....Christmas morning...
